Let's check the Demo of "Forspoken", new action RPG with magic parkour from SquareEnix [PC]
0Time to check the Demo of "Forspoken",a new game from SquareEnix. It follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the magical land of Athia.
So another "Isekai" style story, like many anime/manga in the last few years.
The game is a 3rd person action-RPG, with really fast movement & parkour style traversal, while wielding magic and battle monstrous creatures. The movement feels nice, the magic is flashy & combat overall is pretty good, from what i can see on this demo.
The world though, feels kinda empty & lifeless, with a checklist open world design, like those we can find on Ubisoft games. Also, even though voice acting is pretty decent, the constant back and forth between Frey and the Cuff can be annoying. There is an option to tone it down, but didn't notice it when i was checking this demo.
But the perfomance on PC, was rather poor! I hope they can fix it with future patches.
