The game is like a mix of a Metroidvania style game with Souls-like RPG elements. You explore an ancient kingdom full of dangers, gathering gear, leveling up, learning new abilities, interacting with interesting NPC and facing cool bosses. Even lore through item description is here, a stable in the Souls genre.
Fans of 2D action games and the RPG series from FromSoftware (Soulsborne games), might want to give this game a chance.
