So let's review: the Crown of Karsus mutated the Elder Brain, making it too strong for us to stop with the Netherstones. It then broke free and is now laying siege to the city, aided by tadpoled sleeper agents and a fleet of Nautiloids. A less than ideal turn of events. The Emperor claims only an Illithid can successfully wield the stones, and that is true, but I'm not liking his chances either. Time to make good on our word to the gith and spring Orpheus. Naturally, the Emperor takes a dim view of this, and promptly switches teams for no adequately explained reason.

All things considered, Orpheus takes these developments pretty well. The good news, for what it's worth, is we're not alone when we get back to the city. Our allies have gathered and are ready to make a push for the Elder Brain. We're gonna need the help; there's a lot of trouble up ahead...
