Yep, Data Design Interactive are back again. This time, Metro 3D are the publishers of this, NOT Phoenix Games. Doesn't matter though, because it's the return of a "franchise" that started my longplays. And it's the most well known one too. Welcome back, Myth Makers. It's time to come face to face with Trixie In Toyland.

The game carbon copies Anubis II and is really the same game. Find some balls, unlock an exit, go in exit, move on. The difference here is that not only do we get more music, but we also get to play only as one character, Trixie, and it's a platformer where we can either shoot magic at enemies, making it more powerful almost as a joke, or hit them with our giant rattle... which is actually a pain to use in combat.

There's other modes, and i do showcase them, but they're not important for completing the game. They are just for points, which is utterly pointless since they do nothing but highscore reasons. No, just beating the levels count, so even though this video is over 1 hour, we're lucky the game is over 30 minutes, especially thanks to the long loading screens that plague console ports.

It's a very short game too, only 5 levels with 4 side spots where we dodge balls that are the most damaging obstacle in the game, and get to the end, because the eggs are also just for points and are also pointless. The boss is also a joke, in all honesty, and there isn't even an ending. Nice.

I feel bad for the person who made the Myth Makers, Michael Rooker. He clearly had a vision and wanted to make something good with this. It does have potential to be a good franchise. It just sucks he had to work for such a cheap, god awful developer company like Data Design Interactive who specialise in making terrible shovelware games and reusing exact game mechanics and such just to gain more money in the most cheap, contrived way possible. The guy deserved better. Go support him if you can. http://mikerooker.blogspot.com.au/
