2Time to check the Demo of "Magenta Horizon", a 2d side scrolling action platformer game that is heavily inspired by the Spectacle Fighter genre. You play as a female Grim Greaper in a surreal twisted purgatorial afterlife. You explore while hack and slash through hordes of enemies, while trying to uncover your past.
The graphics are great, with detailed hand-drawn characters, backgrounds and effects. Giving almost a comic book style to the game. Soundtrack is pretty good too. There is some voice acting, but at the moment is minimal.
The gameplay is the main draw of the game. Its fast paced, responsive and addicting.
You can customize the difficulty to suit your needs. On higher difficulties the game is really challenging.
The game is in Early access, so many things can improve by the time of the full release. This demo includes a huge chunk of the game, specifically the whole first act.
Overall a pretty good game to check if you are a fan of games like Hollow Knight and spectacle fighters like Devil May Cry.
