Welcome to flying blind. We go back through the archives and present a talk I gave in September 2021 at flight sim expo in San Diego, CA. We cover how you can fly blind. We also talked about my end goal and why I’m in the flight simulation hobby. We cover the following in no order.
• Introduction
• History of add ons in flight simulation including FsTramp.
• Talking flight monitor
• What is talking flight monitor and its future?
• A demo of talking flight monitor
• A note to Asobo and Microsoft about the inaccessibility of flight simulation (that still needs a lot of work by the way)
• A rant about XPlane and the lack of accessibility in that simulator. Do better!
• A descent into phoenix. Thanks Evan for the help with that one.
• Conclusion
I would like to thank the flight simulation association for all the work they did in putting together a wonderful conference in 2021. I would also like to thank Andy and Jason for a wonderful product, and I would like to thank the folks at Fly Virtual for aiding and guiding me in this journey throughout the years.
