Lets Kill DarkSoul Bosses: The Gaping Dragon
Today we find out what happens to the alligator that got flushed down the toilet.
Tips & Tricks
Before you even think of fighting this guy head all the way to the top of the huge room you fight him in. You will have to find your way through the tunnels. But at the top is a spellcaster who during the battle plans on healing the dragon, and being a right git by shooting you as well. Kill him and the job is made a lot easier.
Battling the Gaping Dragon:
First if you are a strength build character go for his tail at the start, about 400~ damage will drop the Dragon King Axe for you.
His Attacks:
Smash down: He will raise up to his full height and wander around after a little bit he will slam down giving you perfect access to his head. Be aware he stays down for about 5 seconds.
Charge: After he has done his smash down there is a chance of him then charging forward. There is a slight homing on this attack so be aware with your dodging.
Grab and Chomp: I believe *and correct if i'm wrong* while he is raised in the air, if you remain to close to him he will scoop you up, and start eating you alive it does massive damage, and could spell the end for your battle. Tip? Don't go near him when he is arched up.
Vomit Breath: This tends to happen when he is toppled over. He lets out a massive amount of vile vomit, it spreads a fair distance so make sure you don't step in it.
Take Flight!: In this he will launch himself in the air, and home in on you. Nothing to extreme, but make sure where he is when he is doing it.
Tips to killing him:
Its all about timing your attacks. The gaping Dragon is a big fan of the smash down, so as long as you keep your distance and wait for him to smash, run in hit him a few times and run back out you should have no problem killing him.
Good Luck.
