Astebreed is a fun bullet hell game that while short, can provide many hours of quality entertainment. If you're looking for a story driven game, it does have one (a good if cliche'd one actually) but good luck understanding all of it while playing.

Reason being, a lot of story is spoke during the hectic combat. While yes there are subtitles, it's tiny and at the bottom of the screen. So it's not exactly easily accessible. The cutscenes are more akin to a visual novel than actual cutscenes but it works pretty well considering the art style.

Bottom line is if you like bullet hell gameplay and striving for high scores, this game will give you dozens of hours of entertainment. If you prefer a strong story, and less on gameplay, you may want to skip this.

For those wondering why my voice quality was a little different, I was trying a new microphone this video. My Sennheiser PC 363D's microphone actually. Probably not up to the level of my blue yeti but trying new things never hurts.
