In this episode of Speed Development, BenderWaffles creates and entire, short game using the default, built-in resources in RPG Maker MZ.
This game was created over the course of about 16 or so odd hours as part of my process of working on my review of the latest version of RPG Maker, RPG Maker MZ. So it's not exactly a work of art. Some parts are definitely rough, and the design isn't all that great. But ya know, its free, and it shows off some of the new features of the program. So, why not check it out?
Map creation takes practice. It is an acquired skill that only comes with time. That being said, studying the work of others is a fun and fantastic way to learn how to do it yourself. Perhaps this will teach you some new techniques that you can apply to your own game development project, whether it is within RPG Maker MV, RPG Maker VX Ace, RPG Maker XP, Unity, Game Maker, Clickteam Fusion or some other game engine.
