The worst enemies in the Past section of 7th Fantasy are the ones with brutally strong magic attacks. They include Serpants and Spirits, which are capable of nuking a mélée-based team in one swipe if you're not careful. Fortunately, Cid knows the Wall spell (called F. Shid in 7th Saga) which will neutralize an incoming magic attack. I also decided to equip the Ice Cloak on Cid for this section since protection from the Serpants' Blizzard attacks is top priority.
