Let's Play Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs Part 9 (Finale)
1A Sense of Rightness, and Finality.
Breaching the innards of The Machine For Pigs once more, our protagonist tries to find ways to further inflict hard upon it and prevent it remaking the world despite its prophetic words as it tries to dissuade Mandus.
Hope you all don't mind my silences and rather self-indulgent words near the end of this LP. I was fairly well immersed and felt like justice, maybe even balance was getting restored with Mandus stepping onto the machine processing belt. I rather like the the concept self-sacrificial idealism so it got to me, if you couldn't tell. A little embarrassed about it in all but oh well, I can only be myself at the end of the day.
As for the game itself, I feel its a great story-driven game but at the same time, I feel like it pushed the story maybe a little too hard and didn't introduce enough horror into the gameplay, rather you were moving through the different segments of the game and then hearing about the gruesome things that were happening around you or what had happened prior.
I suppose in all, if you loved the first Amnesia and expected this game to be exactly the same, you may be disappointed. Despite its sharing of the universe, this sequel tries to do things differently and I applaud their attempt. I won't say its a bad game, not at all, but I didn't feel like I was truly terrified throughout the game, more going through the motions, which is a shame as I wouldn't want that to come through in my LP.
I'm typing this just after the conclusion so there's still a lot on my mind about the game as a whole, I'll have to think on it and may adjust this later. I do hope everyone who watches my LP has had a good time doing so and let me know what you all think yourselves. I know myself, I'm left with a lot of questions that I suppose we won't get the answer to, but that's alright really.
