Let's play Aurora 4x Scenario - Introduction 1/3 - "Basics"
After all this waiting, after all the comments, support, views and likes I bring you the second installment of Aurora 4x on my channel and I have to say that I have high hopes for this one. Contrary to the previous series we no longer start with the default basic start up but instead with a scenario that puts us in a position of utmost despair. How are we going to deal with it? Well that remains to be seen. It might very well end in flames and tears for the poor human race that already endured so much...
The first three episodes will be sort of a prequel to the series. I want to give you time to watch them and debate and suggest the course of action as well as the new format of the video (thematic parts, added music etc.) and let me know what you would want to improve from the last series before we move on. Would you like to receive periodical updates or watch a long play? Would you want some kind of special order issue? Let me know and I promise to take it into consideration.
With that said I welcome you back, back to The Stars - to Aurora 4x.
From the wiki: Aurora is a 4X (eXpand, eXplore, eXploit, and eXterminate) science fiction strategy game. Players develop their interstellar empire from the humble beginnings on their homeworld to conquer the universe, or be pummeled into the ashes of history by opposing races.
Some say it has the graphical charm of an income tax assistant software from the late nineties, but a playing depth that more than rivals any commercial 4X game. Aurora is different because it places emphasis on fleet operations and detailed tactical combat.
The game is under constant development and there is an active and friendly player community in the forum that will help you with any question or problem you might encounter.

The game was created in the year 2004 by Steve Walmsley. The version I am playing is latest available at the moment of start (04/12/14) 6.43.
