Let's play Aurora 4x Scenario - part 02 "Hope For The Future"
The fastest way how to increase our production is getting automated mines on respective (surveyed) comets. Therefore we go and design our first survey vessel - a small Hope class shuttle / fighter sized craft. The time to produce even one is astounding though - full 17 months before first one enters production.
Second step thus is to increase the amount of fighter facilities present at Vesta so that we speed up our production. But who will transport them? Time to get acquainted with out transport task groups...
I guess apology is in place as the beginning of this Let's Play is going to be slightly slower. I need to get the hang of all of our capabilities, capacities and create a functioning economy out of scrap. Which is easier said than done.
From the wiki: Aurora is a 4X (eXpand, eXplore, eXploit, and eXterminate) science fiction strategy game. Players develop their interstellar empire from the humble beginnings on their homeworld to conquer the universe, or be pummeled into the ashes of history by opposing races.
Some say it has the graphical charm of an income tax assistant software from the late nineties, but a playing depth that more than rivals any commercial 4X game. Aurora is different because it places emphasis on fleet operations and detailed tactical combat.
The game is under constant development and there is an active and friendly player community in the forum that will help you with any question or problem you might encounter.
