What's the most innocent and yet disastrous thing we can do? Why alter an equation to divide by zero and somehow that causes the apocalypse. The game reboots and when it comes back on, Plague Doctress realizes she's fully aware that the world we're in is a virtual one within a video game and that she's a character and we're a player. The virus that killed everyone with ink is not a biological disease, but rather of the computer variety. Our next goal is to look up the author of this game and contact him. Maybe he can restore the game to a previous state before the virus, ink, and death. We find the name "Adahn" in the author credits and try to look him up in the phone book, but the Author is aware of us and his eyes are watching so he blocks out the phone booth. Plague Doctress comes up with an idea so she does a bit of game tampering herself. She adds a multiplayer option which is broken so we restore and suddenly player cursors are everywhere. With the Author's eyes distracted, we can look up his address and it's beyond the city gate so we'll need to open it and pay a toll fee. Someone breaks into the clothing shop and it turns out to be the Masked Man from Bad Dream: Coma. Why does he have breasts? It turns out to be Plague Doctress in disguise. She was able to fool the watchful eyes by disguising herself as a character asset from the previous game since the Author likes that game so much. She tries to leave, but triggers the shoplifter alarm which alerts the eyes to our presence. We rendezvous back at her house and turn the sound off so we can go back in and deactivate the alarm. We pay the toll to open the city gate and we're in the Author's neighborhood.
