In this case, using bombs at all means sacrificing a bunch of payment, so it's best to avoid it, but if you get desperate, it can clear the mission. But, mostly, we're a bit too overpowered to need to rely on it. We may take some hits, but they'll have a hard time beating us entirely.

At any rate, we have to blow up all the defenders of a base to claim the supplies inside for ourselves.
