In Beyond Sol you are a Venturer, an independent ship captain, who leaves the safety of the core systems to begin life anew on the frontier of civilization—the Rim.
The Rim is a dangerous place where a variety of people and factions pursue their own ambitions with ruthless determination. Great factions rival each other for political dominance of the system, enlisting Venturers to their cause. Outlaws run illicit trade networks, stalk merchants and undermine the establishment of rule and law. However, it is also a place of great opportunity where fame, glory, wealth and power are the rewards capable Venturers can reap.
