Bloodborne is a Playstation 4 exclusive action RPG developed by From Software (King's Field, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls) with help from Playstation Japan. While the world and story of Bloodborne is entirely new, many classic staples of the Souls series remain intact, such as the elaborate level design, focus on tight controls, storytelling, and many specific gameplay mechanics.

Where Bloodborne differs from Dark Souls or Demon's Souls, mainly, is in the pace of combat. In Bloodborne, players must make due without a shield. This changes the style of play from the very slow passive approach in Dark Souls to something much more agile and aggressive. A number of drastic differences in gameplay support this newer more aggressive playstyle.

As for the basic story: you play as a hunter. The player ventures to Yharnam seeking a cure for a mysterious disease, but instead finds the town in ruin and plagued by a disease which has mutated the townspeople into feral beasts.

There is far much to go into in the description alone, so I hope you join me as I turn over every stone to discover all of Bloodborne's secrets. This will be a very thorough and informative playthrough of a game that promises insane amounts of depth and breadth.
