4Call to Power II is in many ways the ugly duckling of the Civilization franchise - technically not a part of it, yet still on the family tree. While disinherited from the 'civilization' name that its first iteration carried, anyone who has played any Civilization game will find it quite familiar.... and yet not.
Call to Power II has many peculiar takes on civilization features, some which eventually found their way into 'mainstream' civ, if in different forms. Other solutions have yet to be adopted, though in my mind they should be. Expect me to mention a few of them during this playthrough.

Mind, expect some music issues if you're running Windows 10, as CTP2 is from the 'mixed media CD' era of games.
It has been many years since I last played this title, so expect a fair few fumbles and rediscoveries along the way.
