Many important things were learned today. Like bombs in this game don't have countdown timers.

Also, one should do in-town plot events before shopping.

Plus a number of things were learned about magic. I'll summarize so I can read this next time before playing:
When casting a double-gem spell with two different colors, the first gem determines the main spell, and the second gem does an "added effect":
Red: Enlarge
Blue: Stun
Green: Duplicate
Yellow: Unknown

Yellow might be a status, but the problem is that the only spell I have that doesn't one-shot normal enemies is the yellow spell, and combining two like gems just casts a different spell. Using yellow was nice for discovering blue's added effect: I believe I got lucky there.

I've turned the sound down again, rather than hoping I remember as I'm starting up the next episode. Overall I'm still pleased with this one, though.
