Let's Play 'ChäoS;HEAd' - [Ch. 5] - Part #50: Colloquialism
I talk about the use of "Yatsu" in the colloquialisanistic (??? is this even the right term) sense of the word. I shall type the short explenation here:
Yatsu: A dude, a guy (in the derogatory sense of the word)
Yatsu: A thing/object (in colloquialism)
If you're unfamiliar with these terms;
Derogatory, means you lessen someone in value, you don't exactly speak highly of them when using it.
Colloquialim is a term used in conversational language or when being informal.
The gist of it is; don't ever say "yatsu" to someone you're not entirely familiar / good friends with.
It'll get you in deep shit, because Japanese people don't take kindly to this kind of smacktalk.
I hope you all learned something and I hope you enjoyed!
Thank you for watching, as always!
(When the fuck did my LPs exactly turn into me schooling you, the viewers, in Japanese? Sorry if it is to your disliking, I just can't let it go, being a fan manga translator and all.)
