This is the third of a series of doing Let's Plays on "classic games." Classic games in this sense are, pretty much whatever I consider a classic, usually old and becoming somewhat obscure but trend-setting games.

In Japan, Dragon Warrior is known as Dragon Quest, and it in fact overshadows Final Fantasy in terms of popularity as a series. This is somewhat the opposite of the USA where Final Fantasy is more popular. This is the first Dragon Warrior game ever released as far as I know for the NES. It is a trendsetting game in that it establishes many of the hallmarks of the (J)RPG genre.

This video features some leveling up and gold gathering in hopes of buying better weapons and armor. I venture out to the village of Kol and the surrounding area, and even fight some skeletons!
