Command & Conquer: All Stars is a modification for Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour. The game replaces the vanilla factions with three new ones: the Tiberium Coalition, the Red Alert Alliance, and the Generals Elite, each of which represents one of the three Command & Conquer universes.
Additionally, players can specialise in a subfaction, which grants them certain perks such as veterancy for some units or access to unique technologies. Whatever specialisation a player chooses, their forces will always be hybrid army.
Mechanical changes made in Command & Conquer: All Stars include a build system that allows players to place structures directly on the map, as done in the Tiberium and Red Alert games, instead of using worker units, as Command & Conquer: Generals does.
