Let's Play Command & Conquer: Rivals [Pre-Alpha] #1 | Seth Returns
Command & Conquer: Rivals is a 2018 tactics game and the fifth Command & Conquer mobile game. It was announced on 9 June 2018 during EA Play. The pre-alpha version of the game was published on Google Play on the same day in North America.
The game involves GDI and Nod forces facing off against each other on a single screen in one-on-one matches. Each side has access to a variety of commanders, which provide different bonuses for the player's forces. Forces are commanded in real-time.
Each player gets to pick up to six units from their arsenal to use in a match. These units are split into four categories: infantry, vehicles, aircraft, and specialized tech forces. Forces are recruited via barracks and war factories.
High-end units require a tech centre. Each player receives a constant influx of Tiberium whose rate can be increased by building harvesters. The main objective is to destroy the enemy's base.
Each map has a nuclear missile silo in its centre. Once fully charged up, the missile is fired by the player who controls the most launch pads, special hexes around the silo. Two missile strikes destroy the opponent's base.
Upon its reveal, Command & Conquer: Rivals received overwhelmingly negative critique from the Command & Conquer fanbase. Whoever, its developers encouraged the community to give the game a shot.
