CYBERPUNK 2077, THE PC/Xbox/PS4/PS5 GAME
Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing video game. The game is played from a first-person perspective and functions like a first-person shooter. Vehicular combat is also possible. The narrative mostly takes place in Night City, an open world metropolis infested with gangs where mercenaries dance amongst the criminal underworld and corrupt all-mighty corporations.
Cyberpunk 2077 was developed by Polish studio CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt in 2020.
CYBERPUNK 2077, THE BACKGROUND
The player's character is a mercenary and criminal named V who tries to make his/her name in the cyberpunk world of the year 2077. During a heist V gets accidentally imbued with a “bio-chip” that contains an engram of legendary rockstar and terrorist Johnny Silverhand's personality and memories. Johnny Silverhand is voiced by Keanu Reaves. This chip begins to override V's memories and personality. To separate Johnny and V from each other and to save V's life they must work together.
The game takes place within the dystopian science fiction scenario of the Cyberpunk universe: National states have lost importance and control. International mega-corporations call the shots. Environmental disaster is wide-spread. People are concentrated in mega-cities. Technological advance has led to the creation of cyberlimbs and the connection of man and machine. Artificial body parts outclass their biological counterparts. People are reduced to salary slaves. To be more competitive they are often encouraged to replace body parts with cyberware or to use productivity enhancing drugs. The genre of cyberpunk can thus be seen as a criticism of unchecked capitalism and technology and their social and environmental costs.
In this world meaningful and deep human relationships have become the exception. The cyberpunk culture culminates in the statement “You do not make a name as a cyberpunk by how you live, you are remembered by how you die” (cited after Cyberpunk Edgerunners series).

As part of this Let's Play and playthrough we will in time also play the DLC Phantom Liberty.
CYBERPUNK 2077: RECEPTION, BUGS AND CONTROVERSIES
The game was praised for its captivating narrative, the depth and expansiveness of side-quests, the immersive atmosphere of the game world and the visual quality.
However, at release Cyberpunk 2077 was riddled with bugs and performance issues over all platforms, particularly on PS4 and Xbox. The launch was considered disastrous. This led Sony to remove the game from the Playstation Store. CD Project Red was also forced to refund a significant number of consumers. Class-action lawsuits were filed asserting that the company had made fraudulent claims to the state of the game to mislead its investors.
CYBERPUNK 2077, THIS LET'S PLAY
In this Let's Play Cyberpunk 2077 we will see lots of uncut commented gameplay and a complete playthrough on the hardest difficulty. The Let's Play functions as a walkthrough. Comments on ways to accomplish goals and missions are especially welcome so the community may profit.
I run an NVIDIA RTX3080, an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor@3.80 GHz and 32 GB RAM as well as a fast SSD. Most graphic settings are set to highest quality, tests have so far shown FPS of usually well over 60 at 1440p resolution. You can see the FPS in the upper left corner of the screen throughout the Let's Play.
CYBERPUNK 2077 AGE RESTRICTION
The game is age restricted with 18+. In the first episode I give a verbal introduction that is not age restricted. Starting with episode #2 I will have to restrict the videos to 18+.
