Our first gameplay experience with the new realm of Diablo 3. A little bit of learning on the fly for everyone, but lets start with a little background.

Diablo 1:
Diablo's soul sleeps in hell and the world is at peace for some time. A town is formed above the Cathedral that unknowingly leads to his lair. Similar to Voldemort in Harry Potter 1, Diablo is not dead but requires a body. The weaker the body the easier to overcome but less powerful he can be. The stronger a body the more powerful he becomes. He spends his time building up his army and corrupting the royal family and Archbishop. The Archbishop (Lazarus) eventually brings the King's son into the cathedral and steals him away for Diablo to overtake, which should guarantee that great warriors attempt to come to the rescue that he can convert as well.

Eventually, the player's Hero is able to defeat Diablo -- but can only destroy his body. Diablo's essence lies in his Soul Stone and that must be contained if evil is to be prevented from rising again. The Hero takes it upon himself to jam the Soul Stone into his body and attempt to contain Diablo, nobody else is strong enough to defeat him after all.

This works... for a time.

Diablo 2:
The Hero grows weaker as Diablo slowly poisons his will power and indoctrinates him to the vices of evil. Once the Hero succumbs, Diablo keeps his human form for a time to travel the mortal realm to build strength and find information on his brothers Mephisto and Baal, both of whom are held captive.
He acquires the knowledge he needs and manages to free his brother Mephisto, and they proceed together to find Baal. With their powers combined, they become Captain Planet -- no but they become too much for Heaven and Earth to stop.
The new player's Hero steps up and tracks down Diablo in attempt to prevent this triangular resurrection. Mephisto feels overconfident and stays behind to stop him while Diablo goes to free Baal, but Mephisto is defeated. Hope remains! The new Hero takes Mephisto's soul stone and similar to the One Ring in Lord of the Rings -- brings it to the Hellforge deep within Hell to destroy it once and for all. After doing so, he knocks on Diablo's doorstep whom has now converted into demonic form with the new power of the strength of the Hero who defeated him last game.

In the D2 Expansion pack, the game continues past Diablo and onto Baal. Baal has been busy at a Barbarian mountain where something called the World Stone is kept, twisting it and tainting it with evil. Upon the player defeating Baal, an Archangel whom has been assisting the player during the course of the game notices that due to Baal's tainting of the World Stone, the world is in Peril. He rashly decides to destroy the World Stone even though we do not know if that will help save or help condemn us all.

Diablo 3:
3 years have passed, and evil is stirring again. We do not know who or why, and we must find out and stop it before it is too late.

Keep in mind for the first handful of videos (recording lots at a time so no chance for input or corrections inbetween) there is some experimenting with technology and settings trying to find out the best way to progress in a recorded playthrough. So bear with me as we figure these things out together and progress with multiple characters through Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno!
