The Lost Mission is the 2nd expansion pack for Doom 3 and it was originally released along the BFG Edition. As far as I know it now also exists as a mod for the original version of Doom 3. It consists of 8 new levels, most of which were originally cut from Doom 3 (hence its title). The campaign features a new story with new voice acted log entries, as well as weapons and enemies from both Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil.

From the time-line perspective, the story of the Lost Mission happens during the original Mars invasion. It shows the story of one of the members of the massacred Bravo Team. As he survived the demon attack and shortly after is contacted by Dr. Richard Meyers who gives the marine a new primary objective: to shut down a high-powered long-range teleporter in the top secret Exis Labs in order to prevent the demons from using it to reach Earth.

We were originally lead to believe the whole Bravo Team was wiped out by Imps in the Enpro Plant. Now it turns out there was one survivor. But will he survive for long? Based on the information we were given during the Resurrection of Evil, I think not, but we will have to see. Maybe somebody made a mistake...
