Let's Play Double Dragon III The Sacred Stones NES
3This game has kind of a sordid history. It came out towards the end of the NES. The arcade edition was a hot predatory mess that was pretty universally panned. I don't think I ever even saw one around my parts. It's hard as heck compared to the original 2 and requires a pretty demanding level of threat management and input efficiency for a children's toy. The story is hot garbage and it's only 5 levels long like the original game. That all aside. It's still pretty fun and does a lot of interesting things. The NES port is definitely the best version of DDIII and the choosing your character mechanic is a really cool idea for a beat em up. Never made it past Italy as a kid so it's interesting to see the rest of the game.
