Let's Play Dragon Age: Inquisition Part 92: Finale and Review
This episode, we go in for the home stretch, and go on the great final quest in Inquisition, and then proceed to review the game. After this episode, I will begin uploading my Dragon Age Inquisition: Trespasser DLC playthrough and review, which will last for 12 episodes.
What follows below this line is the review of the game (Without any considerations into any DLC)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall: 8.5/10
+ (Pros)
*Generally open world, with very few linear areas.
*Combat system is a huge improvement over the previous two titles.
*Most of the characters are really good (Iron Bull, Blackwall, Cullen, Sera)
*Every zone is really unique, with one exception.
*Lots of enemy variations
*Soundtrack and sound effects are superb
*Character interactions add needed depth and actions in the story.
*The story is overall very good, and it's nice how in multiple places the story breaks for interactions between characters, and how these characters interact often, and all have their own unique quests.
*The War Table dynamic is interesting
*Skyhold, and various other Inquisition areas look very cool and unique.
+/- (Neutrals)
*Corypheus' backstory should've been more expanded via in game dialogue as opposed to just a war table mission.
- (Cons)
*Minor bugs (primarily cosmetic)
*General lack of romance options for heterosexual male characters (This isn't a political statement, this is just a fact)
*Some of the characters have serious problems
*Cole is absolutely horrible and useless, his characters makes utterly no sense and is completely uninteresting. Moreover there is no point for him to be even in the game as he only really shows up in the Templar questline but then just shows up at the tailend of the mage one for no reason.
*Vivienne literally just complains during the entirety of the game and shows very little emotion and is very one dimensional, and the initial meeting with her is just stupidly boring.
*The Exalted Planes is a useless zone that serves no purpose post winter palace quest and its color palette gives me a headache for some reason.
*Lack of choice when it comes to endings (This is expanded upon in Trespasser, but should still be an option for the base game)
*Really stupid builds that completely cheese the system can work (My build has a 95% chance to resurrect when done, and I can easily make it go higher to 105%, making insanity difficulty stupidly easy when you get to high levels.
*War table missions could've been expanded upon.
*Every Inquisition scout camp is exactly the same, and rarely do you see Inquisition soldiers outside of these camps, save for perhaps the Hinterlands.
*I rate mods as a teacher grades tests, 7 being an average mod/game, and for every good thing points are added and for every bad thing/stupid hassle points are taken away.
