We're just six days away from the Super Bowl! Sure, most of us are cheering for the meteor but there are other aspects of football that we can look forward to.

Modders are once again carrying the football game game. While EA flails away at its annual iterations of Madden, the modding community is taking the classics and giving them modern updates with new teams, players, uniforms, stadia, graphics and more.

So let's look at the update to one of the most fondly regarded classic games that turns 20 years old this year. From the NFL 2K5 Resurrected team, it's NFL 2K25!

ESPN NFL 2K5 is a football simulation game developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega in 2004 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

The NFL 2K5 Resurrected is a modding project for the emulated PlayStation 2 version of the game. Originally released in 2021, Resurrected updates the rosters, uniforms, stadia and more from the original release of the game to match the current NFL.
