After a long wait, it's finally time for me to dive into Factorio, the base building game that is big on logic and sort of interested in survival. We're starting from the top in this series, and in our first episode it's the basics including getting mining started, getting work flow and power organized, and building our way to automatically generating research.

What is Factorio: It starts like a survival game, but in truth is a big, living, breathing logic puzzle. Build up your base to process everything you need so that you can stave off the natives who don't appreciate your pollution -- then use those natives for research. Oh the humanity.
