Ok, so now that I had some time to do some thinking, here's my take on the story. The Armachan corporation induced the psychic child Alma Wade, the daughter of one of their scientists(Harlan Wade) into a coma so they could produce offspring with otherworldly abilities. This meant that they impregnated her and then took away her babies. Although she should have been asleep during the procedure she woke up (Hence all the "Nooo!" and "Give him back!" that she keeps shouting). Fettel and Point Man were her children.

It seems that Alma died in the Vault, but something of her mind remained. She was able to control one of her sons, Fettel. She used Fettel to free herself and exact vengance upon the people who wronged her("Kill them. Kill them all!"). Why did she attack her son, the Point Man though? Perhaps it was because he was working against her? Who knows!
