Let's play Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster - Part 1 - Beginning - [No commentary]
1This is honestly still one of my favourite games. More to the point that I want to add a bit of commentary/insight here in the description of each video rather than what I normally do by posting a big catch all chunk for these playthroughs.
The original game hit different, this was the game that to me decided to show me that the little pixel characters can be full of emotion and writing and stories can be a powerful thing.
But from Narshe to before boarding the raft to escape the Empire, a lot happens to throw you into the world and its great. I hope you enjoy revisiting this journey with me. (: The start is pretty quick, I did try to linger here and there to get town flavours in this playthrough, but many NPCs in this game do suffer from "there are many guards in the castle" syndrome, so eventually that wanes. But being shown not just one, but 4 main characters in a short time was mind blowing as a kid, let alone all of them being very distinct is very refreshing.
