0Making our way through this difficult flying maze, we eventually run into King Tycoon confronting a monster or guardian of this place. We eventually defeat it twice only to realize we might have made a mistake.
Archeoaevis - 6,400 HP
This boss apparently has 4 phases in a row during the first fight. Each phase has 1,600 HP and only way you notice the phase is based on move set.
First phase uses Breath Wing, wind elemental that hit entire party for a quarter of Hp.
Also use Sap on a single target that slowly drains life.
This phase is weak to Wind
Second phase uses Frost that hits entire party for moderate damage and can also inflict Sap
Also uses Wing Attack which hits single party member and can inflict poison.
Third Phase uses Blaze that hit entire party for a quarter of their HP.
Also uses Tail, which hits a single party member and can inflict Blind.
Fourth phase uses Lightning which also hits entire party for a quarter of HP.
Also uses Claw which hits a single party member and can inflict Paralyze.
Be careful which magic is used since this boss changes its magic defense attributes per phase. During phase 1 it is weak to wind, but phase 2-4 it absorbs the magic element that it is using.
Use your magic and summons intelligently to get the best results.
Pour on damage and heal accordingly.
Mystic Knights Poison Spellblade can also be useful.
Throwing water scrolls and shurikens are also a good option.
Use of Blue Magic Aera on first phase is a very good against the first phase.
Blue Magic 1,000 Needles also helps.
Death claw is useful against second and fourth phase.
Depending on level, Goblin Punch can be helpful as well.
If you have Geomancer with the Terrain ability, you can wear him out quickly.
Also, apparently the Blue Magic Flash can blind him, making this fight easier.
Resurrected Archeoaevis - 2,500 HP
It now has usage of all the full party attacks.
It also cast Maelstrom, which reduces entire parties HP to single digit numbers.
It also uses Entangle which can inflict paralyze on single target.
It can also use Tusk which can inflict confuse on a single target.
It is also immune to Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Wind elements.
Pour on damage and heal accordingly. Heal immediately after Maelstrom.
Using Ble Magic Level 5 death instantly kills this phase.
New Enemies: Ra Mage, Ronkah Knight, Stone Mask, Enchanted Fans, Lamia, Archeotoad, Hydra
Treasure: Golden Armor, Elixir, Phoenix Down, Golden Shield, 5,000 Gil, Shuriken, Ancient Sword, Moonring Blade, Power Armlet, Cottage, Ether
