This is one of my favorite leveling spots in the game, and probably the best spot on Disc 2. Also, since there's a pretty big boss up ahead, might as well max out the Chrystarium.

Difficulty: ****
When you first get here, these enemies are relatively difficult. The Raiders will paralyze your physical or magical attacks, rendering physical players like Fang and magical players like Hope completely useless. On top of that, Fog makes it so you can't heal. A large group of PSICOMs can easily KO your party. The Orions in this area are difficult without a Preemptive, but get progressively easier. After a few rounds, these battles are only 3 stars or so.

CP Gains: ****
The CP in this area is pretty good. Orions and the Huntresses give a lot of CP, meaning you can easily max out everyone's Chrystarium. If you want to go through with minimal leveling, ignore Snow's Chrystarium as you likely won't be using him much, and there *is* a lot of leveling opportunity up ahead. The problem up ahead is that the battles get even more difficult, so this is a prime spot for leveling.

Gil Gains: ****
For this point in the game, the Gil you get is spectacular. PSICOMs will drop Credit or Incentive Chips just about every battle. If you haven't maxed out your tier one weapons, this is probably the place to do it. Might even want to pick up a few Perovskites to upgrade your weapons (especially if you're using the default weapons).

Fun: *****
This is one of the most fun leveling spots in the game. The sirens in this area may annoy some people, but in reality, you kinda tune it out after a while. If it's really annoying, just mute the TV and play a few rounds (I admit, I tried this tact for an hour or so). That said, it is extremely satisfying to launch a Huntress or an Orion after the beating they hand out. Plus, the interior of the Palamecia is breath-takingly beautiful for anyone with a taste for architecture.

Overall: ****
As I stated earlier, this is one of my favorite spots. If you haven't done any leveling up to this point, you may find the boss up ahead to be too powerful for your team. Leveling at this stage of the game is important, and only grows in importance throughout the remainder of the game. It IS an RPG, after all, and there is no better spot for early leveling than this.
