We've reached the end of all things. It's the final finals of FlatOut 2: The Grand Finals. It's a six race/event championship that's run what you brung the whole way through. The final championship is two demolition derbies, two ovals and two races crossed with wreckfests. The winner is the grand champion and pretty much the sole survivor.

And after completing this championship, it's time to wrap up the game with a brief review. Just what did I think of my return to the FlatOut franchise. Given that the last FlatOut game I played on the channel was FlatOut 3, how does this one hold up?

FlatOut 2 was developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by Empire Interactive and released in 2006 on PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows PC. An enhanced port called FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage was released for Xbox 360 in 2007 and PlayStation Portable & Windows PC in 2008.

It is the second game in the FlatOut franchise following FlatOut (2004) and preceding FlatOut for the Wii (2010), FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction (2011), FlatOut: Stuntman (2013) and FlatOut 4: Total Insanity (2017). The first two games were developed by Bugbear. The three games released between 2010 and 2013 were developed by Team6 Game Studios. The most recent game was developed by Kylotonn.

FlatOut 2 is an arcade-style racing game with a focus on destroying cars and track environments. The player races through a number of championships in three racing car classes: Derby, Race and Street with the goal of conquering all of the FlatOut racing series in the Grand Finals.
