Let's Play Forgotten Hill First Steps - Part 4 - Larson's Nightmares
After being knocked out by The Puppeteer, Jimmy has a dream about his youth. His first memory is of his father in the hospital. Poor Gregory Larson lost his arm in some accident and the nurse is busy so Jimmy has to give his dad his medicine. When Gregory regains consciousness, he lets his son know that he was responsible for the accident that severed his arm then demands a drink. The sink pours only blood so it's all we can give him. He goes into cardiac arrest and Jimmy tries to save him while nurse is still out. Once he's saved, he continues to berate his son over his condition. Racked with guilt, Jimmy transitions to a more pleasant dream where he had fun with his grandpa. His grandpa sent him on a treasure hunt finding clues and solving puzzles around the room. Little Jimmy had a knack for that stuff. He gives grandpa his tobacco pipe then solves a puzzle using the symbols blown in the pipe smoke. The treasure turns out to be a medallion of sorts passed down the Larson family for generations. It opens up revealing an eye and Jimmy transitions to another nightmare. This one is about his birthday in 1980. His mother is busy making a salad while the cake is in the oven. Jimmy wants his cake now, but his mother tells him to pass the time playing with his hamster, Pico. Pico gets loose looking really mutated and his mother crushes him. His mother angrily lets him know just how cursed all the men are in his family then goes out to dispose of Pico while Jimmy has fun in the kitchen. He does some activities and smashes a bug on a button on the oven thus burning his cake. His mother returns looking rather horrifying. Upset that her son ruined a perfectly good birthday cake on top of everything else, she proceeds to force feed burnt cake to him. The dream ends and Jimmy finds himself in a patient room at a hospital. The Nurse tells him he had an accident, but The Colonel will operate on him soon. Even though The Nurse tells him that everything will be fine, he remembers that his late fiancé warned him about The Colonel. He passes out again then wakes to find The Nurse gone and himself locked in his room. After a short time passes, his door opens followed by the giggling of a child.
