You know, I tried the translation patch for the Power version, and made fun of the terrible translation. But I have to take it back. At least I could understand the plot there. Here it's mostly garbled nonsense.

The plot is: There is a magic tree called the Antenna Tree that connects the human world to the monster world. But all the trees died (except 1!). Your dad went to the monster world, but he didn't come back. So you're going to go ask your uncle to let you go through his Antenna Tree to the monster world to look for your dad.

The game looks basically like a Pokemon knock off, right down to having multiple editions of the same game with different unique monsters available in each, presumably so that you have to buy both versions or find friends to trade with.

I have to say, however, that this guy with the last remaining magic tree seedling that lets you travel to the monster world? He keeps it remarkable light on security, leaving it completely out in the open hidden under a random tree stump. I know that if I had the only working portal between universes, I'd be operating a toll booth like no one's business.
