Alright, let's talk about this puzzle...

For the most part, I figured out what I was supposed to do. The glowing eyes helped. The only issue is that you have to back the way you came in original which means going back through a medusa head. We spent the entire puzzle doing the exact opposite of that and going through any other medusa head path resets the puzzle. That is what people call inconsistent.

The hydra is a real nasty dragon type monster. It can attack up to five (maybe more) times a turn and each of those attacks can be a breath attack. Needless to say, if you are not planning to fight this thing, it is doubtful you will be able to stand up to that sort of punishment. Oh and it regenerates each turn if that was not enough. The only reason you should even consider fighting this thing (besides filling up your encyclopedia) is it currently (until the Extra mode) has the highest chance to drop Obsidian.

Oh and we fight a boss. Busy busy this part.

Biotopos:
Biotopos is another Reptile type boss. She is vulnerable to Water of all things and has rather high defenses. Sakuya's slayer sword and giving her a water enchant is enough to pierce though but this will be mostly done by your mages more than likely. Her attacks are nothing too fantastic and her main gimmick is numerous field effects she summons nearly every turn. These range from boosting stats, reducing damage, buffing damage, damaging each turn, healing each turn, and so forth. Good news, you can overlap the field effect with your own or use Sakuya's remove field skill.

So besides the field effects, one thing you need to watch out for is her final attack. Reduce her to zero hit points and she will do a final attack, Aging Drizzle. This attack does 101% of each characters max hp to every party member. It is non elemental and the only thing that can reduce the damage is with the reduce Magic Damage accessories but, that is alot of farming. Even then, you will have to be nearly at full health to take the hit. An easier option is to either use Mokou's reraise or just have Alice cover someone or the entire party. Just one party member needs to survive the attack to achieve victory. Or you can just kill her with Private Square.
