God of War is a hack-and-slash game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. It was subsequently ported to the PlayStation 3 in 2009 and the PlayStation Vita in 2014.

God of Wars sees you play as Kratos, a Spartan warrior tasked by the Greek gods to defeat Ares, the God of War. Using the powers of Mount Olympus and his own skill as a warrior, Kratos battles Ares's minions en route to attempting to unseat the God of War himself.
