Let's Play Half Life 2: Part 16 - Headcrab and Zombie Genocide
85Seriously, I'm making a shirt: "I Survived Ravenholm, and All I Got Was a Mine Full of Headcrabs." And on the back: "Thanks, Valve," with a picture of a charging Fast Zombie.
Really, that mine section was rather fun, what with all the exploding going on. I also stand by my decision to not make use of the whirling blade of death; I'm sure it would have taken out all those zombies but a) shotgun was more fun and b) knowing the mood Valve was in when they programmed this place, it would have come back and taken my head off after. (I'm right, right? After killing all the zombies it totally comes back and bites you in the ass, doesn't it? I knew it.)
Longtime (and I do mean long time) fans should pay particular attention to the little swimming section. There's a moment in there you'll appreciate far more than most, and shows that mistakes made many years ago can lead to some pretty good thinking in the present. (The setup also shows that I don't think I was the only one to make that particular mistake.)
