Let's Play Half-Life Ep.10 Mines, Mines, Everywhere
26On the tenth episode of Let's Play Half-Life, we've finally escaped the Apache that harried us across the surface. However, Gordon now finds himself stuck below a squad of grenade-happy grunts, tossing ordinance like confetti. To make things worse, the squad is also backed up by an M1A1 Abrams. But, after picking off the troops using the tunnels, we huck a few satchels under the tank. Down the road we also run into a rocket-armed M2A3 Bradley that proves tougher to destroy, so I just leave it. Gordon then reaches the Ordinance Storage Facility, but we need to find a way inside and the outside is full of mines, aliens, and entrenched snipers. But the inside isn't better, as it's been wired up with dozens of laser trip mines, and setting off any of them will detonate the entire building. Down below, we snag one of the alien's weapons, the Hivehand, which gives us a fistful of bees. And then, as we emerge outdoors once again, I encounter the most dangerously placed vehicle yet, another M2A3 Bradley with no cover to avoid it. Rearming in the base's Armory, we find ourselves caught up once again in a full out battle between the military and the alien troops.
