After a short primer on the series's story so that players unfamiliar to the genre can appreciate what's going on (go to 11:44 if you want to skip to where I actually begin playing, lol), I dive in to an old favorite of mine from the early 90s, King's Quest VI. This game has been LPed by many people before, but this is the first minimalist run (where I do the bare minimum of tasks and still complete the game) with commentary out there that I'm aware of.

After I finish this run, I will be doing one with the full amount of points. To players who aren't familiar with the game, this is a little more significant than most any% vs. 100% runs, in that there is a fork in the game, where you 'choose' the easy vs. the harder path to go through, and only the latter can yield a perfect score at the end of the game. So this isn't just going to be a shorter version of the 100% that follows, but a significant chunk of the game will be different.

I realize that this is dramatically a different kind of game than what my usual audience enjoys, so I apologize for that. This one's kinda 'for me', just sort of a tribute to a beloved, nostalgic game, so I may decide to work on it alongside another run.

P.S. I only realized after the fact that I forgot to re-raise the volume during the gnomes sequence, so I apologize for the end of the run being quieter than it's supposed to be. But on the upside, you get to laugh at me saying how I like a tune that can barely be heard. :P

P.P.S. I apologize for the occasional audio stutter--it's a consequence of me not doing full-screen recording with my capture card like I usually do. I'll try to remedy it in future parts. The upside is that the filesize is drastically smaller than I typically have to deal with, so I'm limited much more by my own stamina than a time limit for parts. So, there's a good chance the two runs of this game will be longer and fewer in number.
