Let's Play Labyrinth of Touhou (Part 27)
We find who Iku has been searching for and unfortunately she has decided to cause some trouble. Oh and we got our revenge on Sanae's Foe and picked up Sanae.
Meeting Tenshi, she will spawn a monster on each floor all the way up to Floor 10. Thankfully these monsters appear on the map so they are easy to track down (cept for maybe floor 7 with its teleporters). After taking care of all that, you finally can fight her.
Tenshi (Boss):
Tenshi does not have too much hp compared to other bosses her level. But she makes up for it by being a tank. She takes hits like one and hits just as hard as one. Do not be surprised to see your most powerful attacks completely negated if you attack her while unbuffed and not debuffed. Which leads to her weakness. She vulnerable to debuffs so lowering her defenses and speed is a very good idea. She is also vulnerable to Poison which ignores defense.
Attack wise, Tenshi uses mostly heavy hitting single target attacks. Some of these attacks are Nature based and one of her attacks can cause a massive amount of debuffs to a single target. Her most deadly attack, Violent Motherland, she will use after Focusing. She will Focus three times in the fight, each time during a certain hp level. Thankfully, Focusing eats up her ATB bar so you have plenty of time to prepare or pump more damage into her before the spell activates.
Once she is below 50k hp, she will buff her Def/Mind to 100% which will make her nearly impossible to damage until its debuffed away (or it wears off over time). But I killed her so fast, she never used it.
The trick to this fight is either painfully slow and careful. Or you can blitz her with damage when she first Focuses. If you do enough damage to hit the next HP checkpoint, she will skip doing Violent Motherland and do Focus again, buying you more time to kill her. In my case, I did not even have to go that far since my damage dealers are awesome.
Tenshi:
Celestial
Tenshi is essentially the opposite of Komachi tank wise. Tenshi has low hp but makes up for it by having the highest Def/Mind growths in the game. So instead of soaking the damage, she just flat out ignores it. Attacking wise, she does not do much damage with her Nature based attacks. World Creation Press is single target while Violent Motherland is AoE. Her Sword of Rapture (Single target Mystic based) though is a rather unique attack as it has the ability to remove buffs from monsters (35% chance with each buff). This can allow her to completely negate as super boss buff before the boss has a chance to take advantage of it. Tenshi also has a self buff State of Enlightenment which increases Def/Mind by 100% but carries the penalty of -100% Eva/Speed as well as a chance to Silence and Paralyze her. But, with that buff up, she will become an impassible wall for the rest of the party.
Sanae:
Human (suppose descendent of a Goddess), Shrine Maiden and Wind Priestess
Sanae is very similar to Minoriko in that her role is that of a healer. Her stats are higher but levels slower than Minoriko. Her healing spell Yasaka's Divine Wind is stronger than Minoriko's and removes status effects but has a longer cooldown and costs more to cast. Miracle Fruit is her buff spell that buffs all stats by 35% to a single target. Night of Bright Guest Stars is her Spirit based AoE spell that debuffs Evasion (useless). Nine Syllable Stabs is a non elemental Row spell with no extra effects.
She is rather good at her job and if you build up her Magic, she can somewhat assist in sweeping random encounters with her aoes. Personally, I prefer Minoriko as she's faster but Sanae is more than capable of fulfilling the role of healer.
