We fight one boss (finishing up Floor 9) and attempt an optional boss. We also get a new party member and get some more mysterious plot stuff.

Reisen (Boss):
Fighting her straight up will end up being one of the easiest boss fights in the game (a fast AoE sweeper with enough SP can effectively prevent Reisen from doing anything). But if you choose to fight her a bit more carefully, you will be rewarded with Getitup V which increases all stats by 30%.

Reisen herself has a variety of moves. She has aoe silence and an aoe poison attack. Her standard moves all involve debuffing defenses by a great amount. Discarder debuffs all stats but is single target while Lunatic Red Eyes reduces defensive stats. These attacks will initially do very little (assuming you buff yourself) but will get stronger as those debuffs keep adding up. These debuffs will also make the attacks that her summoned minions do potentially deadly. Two things to watch out for from Reisen is her self buff (Hourai Elixir) which will increase all her stats by alot. This and the debuffs can make her most powerful attack (Mind Starmine) a potential party wipe if you are unprepared. But as long as you keep the debuffs limited and keep reapplying buffs, she is not too difficulty.

The main gimmick of this fight though is she summons three Moon Rabbits to assist her in battle. They come in two varieties, physical attacks or aoe magic users. Both can hit rather hard if allowed an action. These rabbits do not have much hp and can easily be swept with aoe if you so choose and doing so will force Reisen to resummon them over and over again, effectively trivializing the fight.

But all the rabbits have 100% drop rates for some basic tier 2 items. Kiss more than three rabbits and you will not get the Getitup V. So instead of wiping them out, you have to keep the initial three alive until Reisen is dead. This is possible if you use Cirno/Reimu's paralyzing attacks (which they have zero resist to) and keep them at bay while you deal with Reisen. Keep that up and the item is yours.

Ran Yakumo:
Yukari's Kisune (Fox) Shikigami
Ran sports very high stats and resistances but a slower leveling rate. She is most known for her two buff spells Eighty Million Holy Boards (Def/Mind) and Banquet of the 12 Gods (Atk/Magic) which not only buff the party but also give a lesser buff to all reserve party members. Since buffs do not degrade while in reserve slots, this can allow Ran to build your attacks in safety all the way up to 100%. The only issue is these buffs are extremely expensive in the early game (112 SP a pop). Ran's stats make her effective as a tanky buffer much like Iku if you so choose.

Attacking wise, Ran can be used as a sweeper though it is probably a waste of her buffing potential. Fox-Tanuki Youkai Laser (Spirit based) and Princess Tenko (Mystic based) are both Magic based AoEs with decent % ratios while Soaring En no Ozuno is a non elemental composite Row attack.

Really if you are going to use Ran, I suggest using her as a third slot (or second) buffer. She durable enough to stay on the field and once she develops more, she can keep buffing every turn.

Sanae's Foe (Boss):
Same as Tam's Foe but alot stronger. Same plan and pattern. Be sure you are able to survive Flowing Hellfire and you will be alright.
