I run around and do some shopping first. Then, there are some cut-scenes. The actual fighting doesn't start until near the end of the video.

Lloyd performs and instant death attack on character who are in Dragoon mode. The Talisman accessory proctects against instant death, so Lloyd's move won't work. I decided to use this "trick" for this fight because I haven't done any serious grinding. I still take some pretty serious damage, even with the advantage.
