Let's Play Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword (91 - Final) - The Demise of the Demon King
And so we have reached the end of the journey. Not gonna lie, despite a few of my jokes, the game really hit me in the feels in a few parts (namely, when Zelda started crying, the whole older Impa thing, and the final cutscene).
Anyway, I really did enjoy this game and while I don't consider it perfect (as a few reviewers have said) I still feel it's worth picking up and playing. Most of the complaints I and many others have about are pretty much minor nitpicks we have as long-time fans of the series (namely, the easiness of the game, linearity of certain dungeons, a disjointed and almost lazy game progression, etc.), but even those faults aren't major enough to make this a "bad" game (to me, at least).
This was definitely my longest LP (in number of parts and time to complete) and while I enjoyed every minute of it (barring technical difficulties) it really opened my eyes to one major fault of mine: the fact that I don't really go into my LPs with a plan of action. Had I actually beaten the game on my main file BEFORE starting this LP, the number of parts could have been significantly lower. There's also the fact that a few times I changed how parts would be divided, how long they would be, and what things from the game I would actually show off (to be completely honest, the sidequests were initially going to be bonus parts, but at a certain point, I had to buy myself some time to advance on my main file to stay ahead of the LP). Going forward, I hope to be able to better plan out how I'll do things for my LPs concerning time management, how to advance through the game (concerning non-blind LPs), and some form of consistency with the content of parts (doesn't really apply to Zelda though).
Anyway, with that said, thank you for watching this LP. Even if you only watched one part, or stuck with me through the whole thing, I thank you, and I hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for the next game in the timeline, The Minish Cap.
