Honestly, i think they did a very good game for both version. Both have their ups and down and honestly, i think i would have still go wih ms-dos version. Even the full voice acting is nice to have, thous close up videos looks a bit awkward. Much more than Consulting detective.
Cheap actors or just bad acting? May we never know.
Luckily i won't have this problem with sequal. :)

Yhe Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes (fully titled The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel) is an adventure game developed by Mythos Software and published by Electronic Arts for MS-DOS in 1992 and 3DO in 1994.
I'm not certain but guite sure they still hold rights despite this being in abandonenware.
