Let's Play Mage's Initiation Part 17 [PC] Varner (Blind)
🐧 We stopped the redcaps. We got the trinicorn horn. Yet, there is danger that needs to be dealt with before we can call ourselves Mage. We need to find Varner, confront him, uncover the truth. This is our blind let's play Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements, a spiritual successor to games such as the excellent RPG point and click adventure game series: Quest for Glory. This is a game where some who worked on Hero-U worked on, except this time it's Mage-centric! We are a young man named D'arc, who left behind his family when he was six to join the Mage's Tower of learning. After ten years, his time has now come to be initiated. Yet, this trek will not be easy! We will have to overcome neglected Priestesses, Gryphons, and many other dangers as we aspire to be the greatest mage who ever lived!
🐧 This will be a complete playthrough, by me your FlightlessBird, with cuts happening only when we grind or unnecessarily backtrack. So expect all the fights! All the maps! And more importantly, all the story with every line voiced by myself, doing my best for the many different voices. As a story-based channel, we will try to get every bit of lore information out of Mage's Initiation as we see D'arc reign in the elements to use as his own to become the best.
🐧 Hello! I am the #FlightlessBird and I’ve been playing video games for a very long time. This story-based channel is designed to highlight games from the past which are continuing to define games into the present. We are in a renaissance of gaming at the moment, for good reason! These older games are fantastic! Whether the game is a #pointandclick adventure, RPG, adventure, action, horror, puzzle, visual novel, etc... I want to try and #letsplay them. There will be a focus on this channel for games older than the PS3, though that does not mean we won't play more recent games. Especially those that are spiritual successors, remasters, or remakes... which this one clearly is! A spiritual successor to the great Quest for Glory series, I simply cannot wait! Coming on the heels of the fantastic rogue-based gameplay of Hero-U, Rogue to Redemption, I'm excited to bask in the glory of being a magician once again here in Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements!

🐧 About Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements (from the Steam page): D'arc is sixteen years old. He has trained extensively in the Elemental arts for the past decade, under the discerning eyes of the Mage Masters of Iginor. Confined to an existence of academics and magical mastery in their tower, the inquisitive Initiate often wonders what it would be like to explore the secluded outside world.
D'arc's moment of reckoning arrives and his Masters put him to the test. The young Initiate is tasked with retrieving three items, which will test his magical and mental strength to full capacity:
1) A lock of hair from a powerful Enchantress.
2) The unspoiled shell of Griffon's egg.
3) The three-pronged horn of the legendary Trinicorn.
Join D'arc on a perilous journey across the medieval-styled land of Iginor. Brave the perilous Bloodbark forest where the Redcap goblins stalk. Trek across a barren desert wasteland rife with lawless Bandits and fierce Burrowers. Navigate over a vast lake where evil masquerades as beauty. And ascend beyond the lofty mountain peaks where the mysterious and hostile Flyterians dwell, suspicious of all outsiders. It is time for D'arc to prove himself.
Three quests. One chance. Will D'arc succeed and take his place among his fellow Mages?
🐧 We will have the sequels if more comes out! Stay tuned and I hope you enjoy! If you do, don't forget to like and subscribe as well as comment on what you see! I look forward to seeing this series play out.
