Let's Play Mariovania - #20: Distorted Tower & Shrine
1In this part, I defeat Chaos Cores 7 and 8 at the Distorted Clock Tower, and Distorted Skyfall Shrine respectively.
WARNING: Several screens of the Distorted Skyfall Shrine are really irritating to look at (especially between 16:28-21:04, 24:35-27:39, and 27:54-29:10). I don't blame you if you wish to skip ahead.
I realized this a few parts later, but there is a suit that can break spikes. It's a random drop from Titans, the toughest shell enemies in the game. I don't recommend going for it until you have the Clock and the Warrior Emblem (or tons of Star Refreshes). It's required for getting the special item present at the bottom of the spike shaft at the Distorted Clock Tower. And that special item is necessary for getting the best spells in the game.
