0Now with Flame Sword, we go back to Clown Man and Grenade Man's stages to get a couple bolts we missed before purchasing Super Recover from the shop which will double the life and weapon energy we get. This is a good enough time to share a nostalgia story of how I got introduced to this game and, by extension, the rest of the franchise. Way back when I was in elementary school, my mother dropped me off at a babysitter while she and dad were working. The babysitter had a kid who owned a PS1. He had a good number of games and we'd all sit around and watch him play. I would've loved to play the PS1 myself, but he didn't have any multiplayer games and I was still used to Sega Genesis controls. He had some pretty good classics like Crash Bandicoot 2, Rayman 1 & 2, Ape Escape, and some demo discs. He even rented games like Spyro 2, Crash Bandicoot 3, Blasto, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Deep Cover Gecko. He also of course owned Mega Man 8. I remember seeing that anime intro and thinking "Wow, there's a cartoon about this?" One day at my grandfather's house, I was busy channel surfing looking for something to watch and stumbled upon the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon. One look at Mega Man's face in that show was enough to make me turn off the TV.
